How to assess a functional pouch manufacturing partner
A useful supplier review follows the product from incoming materials to shipment. Ask for evidence of how the process works, rather than collecting a list of marketing badges.

Check the identity behind the brand
Confirm the legal company name, manufacturing location, account contact and scope of the facility documents. JWAY BIO is a business brand of Hunan Jianghui Health Technology Co., Ltd., also written 湖南江辉健康科技有限公司. When a trading name and legal name differ, connect them in the purchase and quality records so there is no ambiguity about the party responsible for the order.
Review the actual production route
A factory discussion should explain raw-material receipt, quarantine, release, weighing, blending, pouch filling, sealing, can packing and finished-goods release. Ask where checks occur and how an out-of-specification result is handled. Photographs are helpful context, but they do not replace a discussion of the controls used for your particular formulation and pack.
Ask what the sample proves
A development sample can show flavor, material feel and an initial formulation direction. It does not by itself establish commercial shelf life, legal market access or the performance of every future batch. Agree how the approved sample is recorded, how scale-up is reviewed and which attributes will be measured at release. This makes sample approval a technical reference rather than a vague preference.
Read documents in context
Check the issuer, facility name, stated scope and dates of every document. A third-party assessment and an FDA food facility registration record are different forms of evidence. Neither should be described as FDA approval of a finished functional pouch. If a specific audit standard is part of your purchasing requirements, discuss that requirement explicitly and request the supporting records.
Test the communication process
Share a concise brief and see whether the supplier asks relevant questions about market, formulation and packaging. A reliable quotation identifies assumptions and exclusions. Ask who owns artwork approval, how change requests are recorded and how the next batch will reference the approved specification. The quality of these answers is directly relevant to the day-to-day work after the first order.
Questions buyers ask
What documents should a buyer request?
Request company and facility identity records, relevant licenses or assessments, a sample specification, an example batch COA and an explanation of the production and release process. The exact list depends on your procurement requirements.
Can I request a video factory review?
Yes. Contact the project team to arrange a manufacturing discussion or video review, and send the areas or records you want to cover in advance.
